How much did your Hebrew actually improve, honestly, by the end?
I came in speaking nothing and by reaching out and asking for hello I left with enough Hebrew to draft
How much did your experience depend on which specific staff/rabbis/madrichim you got?
My growth is credited to my Rabbanim, who were incredibly unique and made my two years in yeshiva the most meaningful and impactful years of my life.
How much prior Torah learning background did you need to keep up?
Guys come in from a public school background to keeping up with everyone else by the end of the year
How much free time do you have outside of a learning schedule?
This is highly dependent on the individual and how he structures/uses his free time
How was the food, realistically, day to day?
Honestly makes it a struggle to stay fit
How available are resources for learning hebrew, (ie ulpan)?
There’s daily available hebrew lessons as well as a lot of opportunities to set up one on one learning in Hebrew and a full a Hebrew track
How much prior Hebrew did you need to not feel lost?
Reading is necessary, but the yeshiva has one of the best, if not the best reading improvement programs, ie SKEP: skills enhancement program.
Overall, how was the program?
Its a great programme with a mixture of Rebbeim from all walks of Judaism and specialists in different parts of the torah from tanach to gemorah and mussar
Netiv is a program that pushes people in all areas of growth; religiously, spiritually, and mentally, while understanding the limits of the student well.
A yeshiva that’s done Mechina style teaching the important life skill of maximizing your time and being brutally self aware

Truly a place with every flavor of Judaism available come in and discover what fits with you
